This Privacy Policy explains how DEMS LLC ("DEMS," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit dems.solutions or use our service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Who We Are

DEMS LLC is an Arkansas limited liability company that provides public safety mapping and reference tools and displays its own promotional content within the Service. For privacy questions, contact us at legal@dems.solutions.

Information you provide:

  • Account information such as name, email address, organization, and login credentials.
  • Billing and subscription information necessary to process payments and issue invoices (payment card data is handled by our payment processor, not stored by us).

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage and log data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you logged in, remember preferences, measure usage, and display our own promotional content. See Section 4.

Customer Data:

  • Data you upload or generate while using the Service, handled in accordance with our Terms of Service.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
  • create and manage accounts and authenticate users;
  • process subscriptions, billing, and invoices;
  • respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service;
  • monitor for fraud, abuse, and security threats; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Promotional Content and Cookies

Portions of our website, including the login page, display promotional content about DEMS and our own services. This content is created and served by us. We do not use third-party advertising networks, we do not sell advertising space to third parties, and we do not allow third parties to track your activity across other websites for advertising purposes through the Service.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary (for login and security) and for analytics (to understand how the Service is used and improve it). You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your account information. We may share information:

  • with service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, payment processing, analytics), bound by confidentiality obligations;
  • to comply with law, legal process, or lawful government requests;
  • to protect the rights, property, or safety of DEMS, our users, or others; and

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and certain other states have these rights.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for use by emergency and public safety agencies and organizations and their personnel. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
